Soul survival

John 5:25
"I tell you for certain that the time will come, and is already here, when all of the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen to it will live! The Father has the power to give life and He has given that same power to the Son.  And He has given the Son the right to judge everyone,  because He is the Son of Man."  A peanut has a shell that provides covering for the true essence, the real living force inside. We are like the peanut in a way. Scripture tells us that we are a living spirit. (Made in God's image, for God is a Spirit ) we live in a body and we possess a soul.  Our body is like the peanut shell. It does eventually wear out. But the good news is that our spirits,  like the actual peanut itself,  are the true life. When we leave our bodies we, our spirits, still live on. Hence "Eternal life " can be ours if we believe.  Have faith children. God loves you.

Miracles do happen for those who believe.

The Fervent Effective prayer of a righteous man Avails many great things.  James 5:16
Praise the Lord Saints!!  There are things that cannot be done with man, but with God all things are possible.”  Matthew19:26.  My Aunt was placed in hospice on Thursday and I sent out a call to the saints to ask everyone to pray.  Well, today, on Sunday, the hospital has said that she is doing to well to be in hospice.  She is no longer on medication and pain reliever, she can sit up and talk and she is alert.  THE FERVENT EFFECTIVE PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN WORKS MANY GREAT THINGS!!  Thank you for your prayers and for your positive thoughts.  Remember to always think of good things for the word of God tells us  “ Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true whatever is noble, whatever is right, what ever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about these things.”  We are encouraged by the Word of God to be positive.  Don’t allow the negative thoughts or words of others to creep in to steal your hope, faith and joy.  As soon as those thoughts come in, block them out by speaking out loud, “ I am a child of the most high God! His goodness and mercy are ever toward me.  He knows my needs and my desires and all things are possible through him. Deny the thoughts of doubt and fear.  Hold fast to your faith!
Perhaps with man things are impossible, but with God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
Pray children, pray.  God hears and answers prayers.

In thee oh Lord do I put my trust

In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. .  Psalm 31:1
Our hearts became dirty, oh Lord, and you made them clean.  Our mouths became filthy rags and you taught us how to speak.  Our eyes began to lust, and you held us at bay, then you gave us insight that we might behold the beauty of your son Jesus the Christ.  Our hands moved to do vile things, and you game them your work to do.  You give us mercy when we do not deserve it. You give us an ear to hear when we need to talk.  You give us comfort when we are broken and oppressed.  You give us victory when we cannot stand.  It is by your hand and your word that we even exist at all.  Help us to remember today that even though we are filthy rags, worms that crawl in the dust, vile creatures whose sins you should not look upon, that in mercy you came to us.  Even when we could not come to you, You came to us.  You sought us out.  We could never earn the love that you have so freely given.  Help us to be worthy of even a small bit of your love.  You call us to rise up and to be all that you are desirous of us to be.  With your banner of victory you raise us.  With your love you sustain us.  Help us oh Lord to be worthy of your love and grace.  Help us o Lord to be worthy of such a good Lord and master, of such a God a you. In Jesus name we pray.  Lord I ask for strength, courage and a blessing of prosperity for all who are your children as we walk in the path you have set before us.  Let us walk with eyes wide open, knowing that you are our victory banner. We never walk alone. In the mighty and miraculous name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

The Lord reigns.

"You, oh Lord reign forever; your throne endures from generation to generation. "  Lamentations 5;19
We give God thanks and glory because He is who He is.  He rules and reigns and leads us to victory in His name.  We may go through trials, but He always causes us to triumph in Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:14.
Our enemies may be planning warfare and deceit,  but "No weapon formed against us shall prosper and every word raised against us shall be brought down. " This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is the vindication from the Lord". Isaiah 54:17
Therefore don't worry and don't fret. "If God is for you, who then can stand against you? "  Remember today that no matter what tries to come against you, it is only trying, it will not win. You are not alone. You are a child of the most high God.

Prayer for Nearness to God

Prayer for nearness to God

Heavenly Father, please lean in so that we can see you.  Breathe on us so that we can feel your presence.  Fill our hearts with joy so that we know you are near.  You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  You are our strength and our fortress.  You are He in whom we can trust.  You have no race, no color, no political affiliation.  You don’t want to “Make a deal” with us, or trick us into doing your bidding.  You only ask that we love you and listen to you because you are a good and loving father.  You have even sacrificed your only son Jesus Christ so that the doors in heaven to forgiveness and redemption would be opened to us.  Jesus is the only one who holds the key to that door.  (Revelations 5:4-9).  We thank you for your love and patience.  We thank you that you have given us peace and joy to sustain us in difficult times.  May we always be in your shadow to receive your blessing and protection.  May we stand with our ears, our eyes, and our hearts open to receive your Word. Blessed be the Lamb of God forever and ever!  In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Keep your hand in the hand of the man from Galilee

PUT YOUR HAND IN THE HAND OF THE MAN FROM GALILLEE

There is an old song that says," Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the waters, put your hand in the hand of the man who calmed the sea...."  I'm sure that people in my generation have heard it.  Sometimes people say to themselves, "what does that mean?"  "Why should we do that?  After all, He gave us our own minds".  I'd like for you to consider this scenario for a minute.  When we are going somewhere or doing something that needs a particular amount of caution, we like to be with someone who knows the ropes, or the path, so to speak. For example if we were on a construction sight, but we had no contractor skills, wouldn't we be safer if we had a guide who was familiar with the sight and experienced with construction?
What about when we are simply crossing the street with a toddler, don't we hold on tightly to their hand? Why do we do that?  What might happen if we didn't hold on? Suppose that toddler jerked away from us just as we were in the middle of the street.  What might happen to him or her?  They could be hurt or even killed.

As we walk through this life, God grabs our hand and tries to walk us through the trials that He knows are coming.  It is extremely important that we act like an obedient toddler and hold on to the hand of God.  What does that mean?  It means we follow HIs word.  We listen to his warnings.  We don't try to control more than we can handle, and we don't argue, wrestle with, or ignore God.  When we jerk our hand loose from God's protection, its like standing in the middle of a railroad track when a train is coming, or running out into traffic without a crossing guard.  Life has bumps, disappointments, hills and valleys. Let's be wise and safe. Put your hand in the hand of the man from Galilee.

Can we serve God and money?

Matthew 6:24 "Can you serve two gods?no. Can you worship both God and money? No.  Surely you will love God and hate money,  or you will love money and hate God."
We serve God. We use money. The Lord says,"Give and it shall be given to you. " He teaches us to share openly, to be generous with all we have. He doesn't teach us to grasp, chase, gamble, steal and hoard money. It cannot be our god.  We cannot be afraid to tithe, to give, or to share what we have. We must trust the God who promises us health and wealth when we follow Him. Matthew 6:31,32,33
"Don't be anxious about what you will eat, or drink, or wear because your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. SEEK YE FIRST the kingdom of God and his righteousness and ALL THESE THINGS will be given to you."

Faith and patience

"Do you not know? Have you not heard?  The everlasting God, the Lord,  the creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.  He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power." Isaiah 40:28-29. He knows what we are going through and He's not tired of hearing from us, or helping us.  He strengthens us when we think we can't go on and he he lifts us up so that we can move forward.  He is the Lord our God,  and our loving Father. We bring Him great joy and it pleases Him to help us. You are loved.

Peace like a river

Find a quiet space for your body, your heart and your mind. Listen to the still silent air around you. Inhale deeply and receive God's peace. Hear His voice as it gently, softly wafts through your soul like a healing breeze. It whispers to you as it joins your spirit.  He Comforts you as only the holt Spirit can.  He Surrounds you, putting out your anxiety like water to a fire.  He fills you with a peace that passes all understanding.  He Covers you the way a soft snuggly blanket covers a baby as it goes to sleep.   Your fears fade.  Hope begins to push through the cobwebs and the darkness that had started to fill your mind.  A new awareness of His presence in your life fills the space around you that had earlier felt like a void.  No person could give you this peace.   You are free. He is with you. You are not alone. Rejoice! Be blessed. 🙏🏾 ☝🏽
