The Word

In the beginning,  the Word already existed.  The Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He existed in the beginning with God. ( Genesis 1:26 "let US make human beings in OUR image, to be like US.)  God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him.  (Genesis 1:3 "Then God said, let there be light, and there was light). The Word gives life to everything that was created and HIS LIFE BROUGHT LIGHT TO EVERYONE.

Do unto others - health care

I don't know about you, but most of the people I know have a pre-existing condition.  Some would have died without health care.  I've been told that bronchitis is a pre-existing condition.  I hope our congress will work together to ensure affordable health care for all . Matthew 7:12 "so in all things, do to others what you would have them do to you. This sums up the law and the prophets."  Did they remove the "existing conditions" clause from their own insurance?  The one "we, the people" are paying for?  Father we pray that your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Lord I thank you that our country will take care of the "least of these". Thank you for bringing the hearts and minds of the people in our government into your will and under your governing. You have commanded that we pray for our government and so in obedience, we ask that you love them, mold them, and show them how to be loving, merciful,  kind and wise like Christ. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Health

Let's all pray and take action so that health care won't benefit the rich only.
Call AND email your representatives in Washington DC. Call and email as many as you can. Copy and paste your own personal health care story if you have one.  If not, tell them about a family member or friend who was saved because of health care. 
  -**   Heavenly Father we come before you in the mighty and miraculous name of Jesus Christ.  Lord we ask for favor and for mercy.  Help us Father as we beseech our political leaders to be men and women of conscience. Open their ears so that they may hear the voices of the people.  Open their eyes so that they can see people and not just dollars and numbers. Soften their hardened hearts so that they can understand why sick children,  cancer patients,  expectant families and ALL of us who need medical care are more important than promises of campaign funds from billionaires.  Jesus went about healing all who were sick and afflicted, so we know that health is important to you. Please move on our behalf and mske our political employees work together 'for the people' In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Word of Faith - they're real

The words of God aren't like the words in a novel.  They aren't just letters typed on a page.  They aren't made up.  The Dead Sea scrolls, old pillars, ancient burial grounds and the studies of the historian Josephus confirm their existence from antiquity.  The miracles and actions that only God can do confirm his promises.  His presence is felt when you pray in earnest, or call out His name in love, or when you see, or receive a blessing or miracle.  God is real. His words are real. They are alive and in action today. They don't lose power when you close the book.  He's waiting for your faith in Him to grow.  Let go and watch God work.   # God is real.

Word of Faith from Isaiah 55:11

Isaiah 55:11
"So will my Word be which goes forth from my mouth; it will not return to me empty without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. " God is telling us that if his word says " we always triumph in Christ ", or " we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. " then God watches to make sure it is true.  We just can't get tripped up in what exactly God's Word is. If we are walking in HIS way and in HIS will, we can accomplish anything because he promised. He won't support actions that aren't His will, because your own way could be way to destructionc and He knows that.  Follow His Word. You will always succeed.  He promised. Isaiah 55:11

Retrieving Joy

I'm wondering if everyone will try a little something with me. Between the text, email, 'whats app"and blog in my ministry there are a little over 150 of us.  I don't know how many people participate in my Facebook 'Word of Faith', but I think if we all participate and bring in some of our friends,  we might change the atmosphere around us. Words are a powerful, living force. The bible says that we hold life and death in our tongue. It also tells us to think on things that are lovely and worthy of praise. Let's make a concerted effort to control any negative thoughts or words that rise up in us, for one week.  It won't be easy.  We will be tested and tried. We'll be tempted almost beyond our ability to cope, but we can do it.  Let's send out words of encouragement to each other every day. Everyone support your family, friends and text or email group. Let's change the atmosphere both inside ourselves and all around our environment.  Our biggest fight with negative thoughts and words will be against spouses, relatives, and coworkers - those people who we are closest to and see most often.  DON'T EVEN ENTERTAIN A NEGATIVE THOUGHT.  Ask God for help and say 'forgive me Lord' for that thought.  I'm believing that healing will occur, headaches will disappear, our environment will change, hope will arise, joy will burst forth, and there will be healing laughter, peace and joy; instead of unforgiveness,  anger, rage, bitterness and hatred.  I have prayed with many people in the hospital over the years and time and again I've heard the Lord say that cancer is a by-product of unforgiveness. Let's all try to dump negativity and allow light to clean our hearts and minds!  Who's with me?

You shall not want

How many of us could say that we would be where we are right now without the Lord?  How many of us have come through the storm because of His grace?  How many of us are facing a challenge right now and would happily do it without His hand to hold? How many of us could stand up straight after losing a loved one without leaning on His arm? We are not alone. We are standing upright when the strong winds blow because the Lord is standing in front of us.  We are able to find a smile even through our tears because we know that we are standing in the shadow of Almighty God.  We can face our enemies with confidence  because the Lord is fighting our battles and so we know that the struggle won't last forever.  The Lord is our shepherd, we will want for nothing.  He leads us, guides us, protects us, teaches us,  provides for us, comforts us,  leads us beside still waters and even prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies.  We are not alone. We are with the One who loves us.

You're His glory

Purpose, self worth, importance, value, pure love - those things are found in and through your divine creator.  There you'll find peace of mind and value.  Only the creator of a thing knows it's true value.  Cars, houses, clothes, jewelry... those things can all be taken away.  They all get old and wear out. They can be stolen or destroyed. The love of God, the love of family, it never dies, but is eternal.  Find hope and faith in God and then you will see it in yourself.  You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are the joy of creation. Never compare yourself to anyone else.  You are uniquely and amazingly you. You are one of a kind.  No one has the exact same spirit, heart and mind that you have.  You are the miracle of creation.  Consider this,  man created things, but Almighty God created you. You are who He wanted. Like a rare jewel,  each one stands out in His eye.  Be the person He created you to be, and you will have joy and peace.
