Some things We forgot while we were pondering the plight of the world
God is sovereign. God is almighty. God is ever present. When I think of Him, I imagine the picture of Atlas holding the globe in his hands. Whenever I wonder how God can be everywhere all the time, and how He can see everywhere all the time, I remember that picture. That's how I imagine that God can see and be everywhere. I'm sure it's not correct at all, but in that I'm a visual person, it helps me to move on to the next big question. Here it is.
GOD WHY DO YOU LET SO MANY BAD THINGS HAPPEN IN THE WORLD?
Well, I've heard this question too many times to think about it. I used to ponder that one myself. It was an enigma. Then one day, I guess God just got tired of hearing me ask that question and turn away with no understanding. It's easy to blame God for that one. After all, He's the one in charge, right? Well, lets search scripture a bit. We probably should go back to the beginning. Yes, that's right, in Genesis.
Genesis 1:26 " Then God said let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness; and let THEM rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
Genesis 1:27-29
"God created man in his own image, In the image of God he created him, male and female, he created them. God blessed them, and God said to them, BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY AND FILL THE EARTH AND SUBDUE IT AND RULE over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth".
number 1. God is not a puppet master. He is God almighty. Alpha and Omega. First & Last.
Number 2. We are not puppets. We are living, thinking, creative beings with a spirit and a soul.
Number 3. I could be wrong, but it looks like He turned over the control of the earth to US.
moving forward. In ancient times and even today, but we'll focus on ancient times for now. God sent prophets. Prophets are people who are created with an ability to hear from God in a special way and they are appointed by him to speak to the people on His behalf. Also, God sent laws before, during and after Moses. So mankind was still getting instruction from God. Man didn't listen. What a surprise.
Fast forward a little more. God tells us to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give shelter to the poor. Take care of orphans and widows. God tells us not to kill, not to steal, not to commit adultery, not to lie, not to use foul language, not to fornicate...I could go on and on. Now let's think back on the question of the day, but before we break it down, one more question.
Point 1. food for thought. - If you gave your children a gift for a holiday or their birthday, would you then stand over them constantly to make sure they played with it exactly the way you wanted them to play, or would you allow them some space for creativity and enjoyment? If you were that controlling the children wouldn't want to play with the gift and they would grow up unable to have a normal, useful life.
point 2. more food for thought.- When we're asking God to control these out of control situations, what do we really mean? Do we mean ALL of the out of control situations? or do we mean those that don't involve his stepping into our own personal business? you see, either He is going to take over 100% or He's going to let us continue to try to do what we have been told to do. We want God to stop drunk drivers, but we don't want him to stop us from drinking. We want God to curb rude behavior, but we don't want Him to close our mouths when we say something out of order. We want Him to stop some people from dressing, or talking, or behaving the way they do, but we don't want Him to interfere with our way of life. Hmmmm. It just doesn't work that way. Will a parent tell one child not to hit, but allow the other to hit? No, it just doesn't work that way.
Back to our original question. Oh, you don't want to ask it anymore? Who is supposed to keep things right and righteous? Good and Holy? that's right, we are. Somehow, we've got to get it together so that we can make this world a better place. With the help of the Lord, we can do it.
If you would like to get to know the God of this universe better, you can say the sinners prayer with me.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I confess that I'm a sinner. Please wash my sins away and give me a new start. I believe that Jesus is the son of God. I believe that He died on the cross for my sins. I believe that He rose again. Please help me to walk with you and give me wisdom and knowledge so that I can understand your word and your will and help others to understand it. I thank you that you took the keys to sin and death so that the devil no longer has power over my eternity. Thank you for setting me free. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Praise God and Happy Re-Birthday! Re-BIRTH. You are now born again. Please, please, please go and find a bible teaching church. Get in a bible study. "Study to show yourself a workman approved unto God who needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth."

Is it ever too late to accept Christ as your savior?
Matthew 20:1-16
There is a parable about a kind land owner who owned a vineyard. He went out one day to hire workers. There were some workers there as soon as the gates opened. Some came a little later, and all day long laborers came in to earn wages. Just before the horn sounded at the end of the work day, with about 5 minutes left, a worker came in to earn some wages. The owner came out and paid everyone the same wage. Even the last worker to come in. You know how that must have gone over with the others, especially the ones who were there from the beginning of the work day. (But that's not what this parable is about.)
Here's the meaning in a nutshell. No matter what point in your life, you can accept Christ into your heart. You will all get the same reward which is Salvation through Christ Jesus and eternal life with Him instead of in the hot place. Remember, the sooner the better because you won't miss out on the many blessings and promises that God has in store for those who believe. I fell in love with the Lord when I was 9 years old. My father served in the church, but didn't accept Christ as his personal savior until he was about to cross over. We all knew he made it. God let us know, but that's a story for another time. The Winans have a song called "Tomorrow". It's about waiting too late. Listen to it when you get a minute.
If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior and you would like to be sure of your eternal place, plus receive the blessing of knowing that you aren't alone and you have someone to fight your battles, pray this sinners prayer with me and accept Christ into your heart. He died for your sins as the eternal sacrifice. Holy is He. Jesus, the Christ.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner. Please wash away my sins so that I may stand before you with a pure heart. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save me from the punishment of my sins. I believe that He rose again and sits on the right side of God the father almighty. I thank you that you have the keys to sin and death and so the devil has no more power over my eternity. Father please lead and guide me. Teach me and help me to be the person you want me to be. This I ask in Jesus name. Amen.

Who is the passover lamb?
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish, but have ever lasting life." God saw that mankind had strayed, but His love for us is unending. He sent his prophets, he sent leaders and judges, he sent messages and still human kind was wandering off following all sorts of wicked and demonic things. Finally, because no one would listen to the messengers, God sent his only son. The people had wandered off so far into darkness that they didn't recognize the son of God, so they killed him, too. But Jesus said, "no man takes my life, but I give it freely." (John 10:18) If the spiritual shingles had been removed from their eyes, their hearts would not have remained hard and it was necessary for the son of God to be crucified.
Why was he born to die? A life for a life. the practice of sacrifice had been taught to the Jewish people and the priests would offer sacrifices for sins so that people wouldn't have to die. A messiah had been prophesied. Jesus was the messiah. He came as the final sacrifice. His life for the sins of the world. He was the lamb without spot or blemish. He was the passover lamb. For thousands of years God had been giving signs and wonders. He had been teaching his people and laying down laws so that they might recognize and identify with Jesus when he came. Many did recognize what had been foretold by the prophets. Others did not. They were so steeped in ritual that they forgot to read the book. Jesus came to die for us as the sacrificial lamb so that we could be restored to a place with God. Without this sacrifice there is no way to get to heaven. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except by me." (John 14:6) Jesus is our "kinsman redeemer." God is Holy and we can't just "be good" and get into heaven. The invitation comes through Christ and it is an invitation only event.
The devil has tricked so many people into believing that there is no devil that it isn't funny. What better way for an enemy to be able to perform evil deeds without obstruction? We don't fight what we don't believe exists. That's sad. He's creating havoc and we're sitting on the floor crying instead holding the sword and shield of the Lord up, to be used for fighting. Jesus is the fulfillment of thousands of years of prophecy. He is the promised one. He is our redeemer, our healer, our provider, our all in all. When you accept Him as your savior, your life begins to change. He is your defender, your protector, your intercessor, your teacher. He is the one who is, who was, and who ever shall be. He promised never to leave us nor forsake us. He is always there. He neither sleeps nor slumbers. He knows how many hairs are on your head and he loves you enough to die for you.
If you want to be born again and ask the savior into your heart. pray this prayer with me. He will save you, and you will have eternal life with Him.
Heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner. Please wash away my sins and make me clean as snow. I believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he died for my sins on the cross so that I can live in eternity with him in heaven when my time on earth is done. I believe that He was raised on the third day and that he hold the key to sin and death. Now the devil has no hold on my eternity. Please lead me and guide me. Heal me and help me. Teach me what I need to know and grant me your peace. I surrender myself to you, my God and my redeemer. Thank you for loving me enough to die for me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Baptism
Repent and be baptized
Many people wonder why they have to be baptized. Some have thought it was a mystical thing that worked wonders. Well, God can work wonders in any way and in any place and at any time of his choosing. That isn't the reason that the bible gives us. We do, however have instruction to be baptized. As I researched, I found a few explanations . one was that in ancient Judaism baptism was a sacramental ceremony that was used to symbolize purification and at the removal of sin, or could be used as an initiation to consecrate a change of station, or a conversion. (Preserving Bible Times, Dr. John C. Martin.)
Matthew 3:11 is where John the Baptist tells his followers that he will baptize them with water for repentance, "but one is coming who will baptize with fire and with the Holy Spirit."
Galatians 3:27 "for all of you who were baptized with Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ."
Romans 6:3-4 reminds us that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus "Were baptized into his death? We were buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
Colossians 2:12
having been buried with him in baptism and raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins.
1Peter 3:21 "and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also- not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a good conscience towards God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:38
"Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
Baptism is an important part of the Christian experience. It's more than the sprinkling that you receive when you're a baby. That is an act of a promise your parents make to God about you. Your own baptism is your surrender to Christ and your decision to lay down the old and take up the new. Jesus was baptized and so we follow Him into baptism and resurrection. If you haven't received Christ as your savior and you would like to do that now, simply repeat the sinners prayer with me. Then get in to a bible believing bible teaching church. PRAYER

I thank you that you have taken the keys of sin and death and that when my time comes my eternity will be spent with you in heaven. I ask you for grace and mercy. Come into my heart. Come into my life. Help me to be what you want me to be. All this I ask in Jesus name. Amen.

Water and Wine
In the gospel of John, chapter 2, we see Jesus working His first miracle. He doesn't do anything without a purpose, so this was no accident. Let's investigate this miracle.
Chapter two starts off with the words, "ON THE THIRD DAY". This phrase appears several times in the bible. 3 is the perfect number of God. On THE THIRD DAY, he rose. On the third day, he performed his first of many miracles. There was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding, and so they were there. In that they were invited, we can make a guess that the bride and groom were friends of the family. Mary, the mother of Jesus was there also. The wedding party ran out of wine before the party was over and Mary, mother of Jesus, came over and said to Him, "They have no more wine". Think about our weddings today. If wine is served and you run out, how does that make the host family appear? Jesus replied to his mother, "what do you want me to do? My time is not yet come." His mother, knowing her son well, turned to the servants and said to them, "do whatever he tells you". There were six stone jars that each held from 20 to 30 gallons of water. They were used for ceremonial washing. They filled the jars and then Jesus told them to take some out and bring it to the master of the banquet. The servants did as they were told. The Banquet Master called the bridegroom and said everyone else serves the best wine first and then gives out the cheap wine when the guests are too drunk to notice. You have saved the best for last!
I did some research because there seemed to be a lot of symbolism in this story. The Lord revealed some mysteries to me. Jesus is the bridegroom and the church is the bride. John 3:29)
The water represented the first covenant. The 10 commandments. The new wine represents the new covenant. It is the best covenant. It was nearly impossible for the people to keep the 10 commandments, plus they added about 400 more. The punishment was death for breaking those laws, so God gave the people sacrifices to perform in order to take their places at the sacrificial altar. The Feast Master represents God. Jesus, as the bridegroom, brought the best wine, the second covenant after the first. The Feast Master was pleased with the new wine. It was better than the first. Grace extends mercy to a people who cannot keep the first. It was representative of the blood splattered on the doors of the Israelites as they waited for the angel of death to "pass over". That blood was their salvation. Jesus blood is our salvation. New wine must be put in a new wine skin. Jesus is that new wineskin and representative of grace. It was the third day. On the third day Jesus rose from the dead. This was the completion of his task. he had become the final sacrifice and had taken the keys to hell and death. The devil's hold over us was now broken. He paid the price for the bride. he ushered in the new wine. It was grace - God's unmerited favor. We are saved.
WHAT WE READ SYMBOLISM
3rd day he arrived at the feast 3rd day - Jesus rose from the dead
The bridegroom and his friends arrive at the feast - jesus and his friends are at the feast
cleansing jars used to wipe away dirt Wine in the cleansing jar to wipe away sins
Feast Master presides and approves of feast The Lord God presides and approves of sacrifice
Feast Master approves of the 2nd wine God approves of the blood of Christ. It is finished
The first covenant wasn't sufficient The second covenant - GRACE covers all
John 20:30-31 tell us that this and the other miracles which John wrote about were given "so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that by believing you may have life in His name."

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding of things. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5-6.
Get to know the Lord your God. Develop a personal relationship with Him. Your trust will come from knowing Him. Are you wondering how you would get to know the creator of all things? Well, you do a lot of the same things that you would do to get to know anyone else. You've got to spend time with Him. Read His Word. Talk to Him. Pray. Go to places where other people are celebrating Him on a regular basis. (church, bible study, choir practice). Ask other people who know Him to tell you about Him. That's what we do when we're interested in getting to know someone, right? We go to hang out where they are. Be open to learn about His ways and get to know how and what he thinks. After a short time, you will fall in love with Him. There is no way to avoid it. He's better than a best friend, better than the best father, better than the most loving husband, better than the closest brother. He never waivers on His love for you, will never stab you in the back, will never change what he promised you, and will stand not only behind you 100%, but will also stand in front of and with you 100%. He will prepare a table for you in the presence of your enemies. Even when you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you will fear no evil thing, because He is always with you. His rod and His staff will comfort you (give you peace, security and safety). Like a shepherd He will lead you. You will never be alone.
Now trust Him. Give him the spiritual steering wheel and allow Him to guide your life. When you don't exactly understand what's going on, relax and let Him handle it. When you keep trying to make things go the way that you think they should, and they just won't cooperate, let it go. He may be keeping you from making a terrible mistake, or missing a car accident, or He may be walking you into the greatest blessing of your life, He's just going about it in his own way. After all- "His ways are higher than your ways, and His thoughts are higher than your thoughts". He gives only good things and "causes all things to work together for your good as you are called together for His purpose" (salvation). There is no love like the Father's love and there is no peace like the Father's peace. IN Jeremiah 29:11 he says,"I know the plans I have for you. They are for prosperity and not for harm, for hope and for a future."
God is good. ALL THE TIME

PRAYER
Heavenly Father I come before you today to confess that I am a sinner. Lord please forgive my sins and make me brand new. I believe that you, Jesus, are the son of God, that you hung on a cross to take away my sins. I believe that you were raised again on the third day having conquered sin and death. I thank you that you now hold the keys to sin and death and that on my last day I will be in heaven with you. Help me to walk in your way. Help me to believe. Make me courageous so that I may follow you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
If I speak in the tongue of men and of angels....
We call 1 Corinthians 13 the love chapter. However it begins by giving something that doesn't appear to be what we're looking for, so many of us just skip over it.
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing."
1 Corinthians 13:1-4
This is an important part of the love chapter. Let's stop and take a look at it instead of jumping over it. I believe it's speaking to a specific if not a large group of people. This part of the love chapter spells out behavior that looks like God, but it isn't God. There are many people who do good works, but not for the right reasons, or from the right motivation. Have you ever met a person who does good things that do serve humanity, but they do it hoping to get recognized and to perhaps receive some accolades or award, or reward, or promotion?
Matthew 6:1-4 tells us
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
Matthew 6:1-4 tells us
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Verse 1 of 1 Corinthians 13 says that if you speak in the tongues of men and of angels - what is that. Speaking in tongues is a gift of God. The apostle Paul tells us that he speaks in tongues more than anyone. Tongues aren't a foreign language. It is a spiritual language. It is explained quite clearly in scriptures, but some who don't understand give it their own definition.
So, back to our phrase. If you speak in heavenly tongues as to God, but you don't have love. It means nothing. You can speak in tongues in your prayer life and in church, but if you don't display the behaviors of God's love, you are nothing. Speaking in tongues is an important part of the new testament church, but if you aren't actively participating in his mission for us who believe, then you are a talking head and that's all.
The next part tells us that if we speak prophetically and can interpret dreams correctly, but you aren't walking in love, following God's rules, you are in it for yourself, not for Him. Remember the biblical story of Jonah? Well, he was a prophet who was sent to prophesy to the Ninevites and to call them to repentance. He had the gift of prophecy, but wasn't obedient and was swallowed by a whale. The spiritual gifts of God are given to man to serve God and Him alone.
If you think you have all knowledge, but aren't using it for God's purpose then it's a waste. Solomon was given great wisdom. His knowledge and wisdom were greater than any man of his time, but in the end, he began to follow the pagan religions of his many wives and he fell from grace. Do you know anyone who is well educated and seems to understand and to be able to analyze things that are beyond the capabilities of most people? Without the behaviors of love from God, that wisdom doesn't serve them and may lead them into trouble.
The next part of the verse says,"if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing." Perhaps you can believe for yourself, but you are unwilling to move in that faith realm to heal the sick, or bless the needy. You're afraid to lift up your voice for others in fear of looking foolish. That faith was given as a gift from God to help mankind in need, not yourself in greed.
The last part of the verse says that if you give all you have to the needy and allow yourself to be a martyr, but you do it without love (for the wrong reasons) you are still nothing. Today many people, especially those who are involved in politics give things away and stand in front of an issue that isn't popular, but they do it for recognition and promotion, not for the cause of Christ. That means that when that opportune moment is over, so is the giving. That isn't a representation of Christ. It is a selfish move of man with wrong motivations. God won't support that.
It is plain that God wants those behaviors to be for unselfish reasons and to be done without want for recognition. All the glory for God's power belongs to God.
In answer to all those who are asking why they have to be born again and give themselves to Christ since they already give to the poor and are kind, and follow all the rules., it isn't enough. If you want to play the game, you have to play by the rules. You can't walk into a game that is in motion and change the rules. The rules are set. They are quite clearly written in the bible. Read the rules. Play the game by the rules.
If you want to be born again and experience the unconditional love of God, you need to believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he died on the cross for you. You must repent of your sins and ask Him into your heart and your life. You must surrender yourself to Him and then say the sinners prayer. Romans 10:9-10
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner. Please forgive me for my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins to be forgiven. I ask you to come in to my heart and live with me. Please dwell in me and allow me to dwell in you. I thank you for your blessing and for your grace and mercy. I know that I am forgiven and born again through Jesus Christ my savior. Amen.
It's as simple as that. Now get into a bible based church and a good bible study. I hope you will also continue in mine. Blessings. Walk in His love!
Love is...
I Corinthians chapter 13 talks to us about love. It says,
Love is patient
Love is kind
Love does not envy
it does not boast
It is not proud
It doesn't dishonor others
it isn't self seeking
it is not easily angered
It keeps no record of wrongs
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth
Love always protects
always trusts
always hopes
always perseveres
Love never fails.
Many of us get confused by the very mention, or even the very thought of love. We keep looking for a "feeling". Well, as we all know too well, feelings fade - love does not. If it did, we'd be in so much trouble because surely God's love would have faded away from us. "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. He specifically tells us to "love one another" 1 John 4:7. His word says, "Husbands love your wives." Ephesians 5:25. God created us, so He knows what we need. He knows that women need to be loved. Being loved makes a woman's battery get charged and stay charged. She feels secure and will do almost anything for that kind of love. It's that Godly behavior in love that motivates her passion for her man. Men thrive on respect. God built them that way. It keeps a man feeling like he can conquer his part of his world.
Women will automatically love, women are built that way. Women don't automatically think of respect as something different from love, but it IS different in so many ways. That's why the bible has to remind women to respect her husband, added to the love that he already gets from her. Respect isn't serviette. Slavery is over. A woman who is treated well by her man will respect him by encouraging him, being a helpmate, etc. When will WANT to represent him well when she goes out. She will WANT to make sure he looks good when he goes to work, because he represents not only himself, but also his home. "A wise woman builds her house, a foolish one tears it down with her own hands." Proverbs 14:1. No one has to tell a woman to love her baby, or a puppy, or kitten if she is in her right mind. It's just what she is built by God to do. When a man feels that he has to direct, boss, belittle, criticize, be forceful to, or controlling of a woman, he loses her respect and sometimes even her love. None of those things is on God's list for what love looks like.
Men have to be reminded that women are made by God to respond to love, so love her with God's love. "For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave his life up for her." NLT (new living translation)
A man understands respect innately, no one has to tell a man to respect a successful man or athlete. That's how they are made, but a man has to be reminded that a woman is equal to, but not at all like a man emotionally. 1 Peter 3:7. "In the same way you married men should live considerately with your wives in the intelligent recognition of the marriage relation, honoring the woman as physically the weaker, but recognizing that you are joint heirs of the grace (God's unmerited favor) of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered and cut off." AMP (amplified version)
There is a song about when a man loves a woman, I believe it's by Percy Sledge. It's very popular and has been sung by many artists. There's nothing like the love of a Godly man for a Godly woman.
Love shows itself in behaviors that are rooted and grounded in God. The feeling that we all so desperately seek may come after this behavior is continuously displayed, but any feeling that comes before it is temporary. The enemy of the children of God knows that we seek feelings and so he sets us up for them, also setting us up for failure ending in divorce. We get excited by sights and sounds and smells, but those are temporary excitements because soon after they have faded, even in our memories, so does the excitement. Don't get me wrong, we may remember the cologne or perfume that a person wore and that may trigger a remembrance of their face, but after awhile, even with the most beautiful face or physical appearance, poor behavior sends us away, and snuffs out our past "feelings". Also, if we don't see that person for awhile, the memory no longer has the same effect as it did in the beginning. Love is something that God has displayed to us through the ages. In fact the bible tells us that God is the embodiment of love. HE is love. I John 4: 8. Is it possible, then to have true love without him being in the center of it?
At the top of this lesson there is a list of the behaviors that love shows. Read it. Then read it again. If you see those qualities in a person you have become familiar with, you are looking at love, or at least the development of love. If you don't see those qualities, you aren't looking at love right now. If you are making excuses for why a person isn't showing those qualities, you are deluding yourself and attempting, in perhaps desperation, to make a reality out of what isn't real. Don't allow yourself to be led by an emotion or feeling like loneliness, or fear. "God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but one of peace, and of power, and a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7. If God doesn't give us fear, as we can tell by the many times his word says, "Fear Not". Then don't live in it. It is a gift of the enemy of the Saints of God and we don't want any gift Satan has to offer. Of loneliness, God says, "I am with you always, even to the ends of the earth". We are not alone.
Prayer
Our Father and our God, please help us to walk in your will and in your word. Help us not to worry or to be afraid. Your word clearly tells us that "man was made for woman, and woman for man." Let us not get caught up in fear, or in loneliness, or in desperation. Help us to trust in you and know that you have our best interests at your heart. May we always walk in your love. Amen.

Rejoice in the Lord Always
The scripture tells us to "Rejoice in the Lord Always, and again I say rejoice" . Philippians 4:4. Sometimes we get confused and think that we are supposed to rejoice in every situation. Well, scripture doesn't tell us to do that. The word does tell us that "He will cause all things to work together for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His good purpose."
This means He can take what the devil meant for harm and turn it around for your good. After all, He is the creator. I know that life can present us with problems that sometimes seem insurmountable, but we can't give in to the slippery slide of depression. It is so easy to throw your hands up in the air and let your countenance fall, but it isn't helpful. Once you fall down into that ditch it's very difficult to get out, and out is where we want to be. There have been times in my life when i've had to stand up in my house and yell, "I refuse to go down like this!". I yell at myself and tell myself to get up. Then I run to turn on some praise music . This is not what I wanted to do, but it's what I needed to do. I refuse to give up and become depressed and desperate. That isn't where God wants me to be, and I want to be where he called me to be. I am victorious. I yell that over and over. "Faith comes by hearing".
2 Corinthians 2:14 says, "Now thanks be unto God who always causes us to triumph in Christ and who makes manifest through us His knowledge. Where ever we go God uses us to make clear what it means to know Christ." WE ARE TRIUMPHANT" Before the bell sounds, before the rooster crows, before the end of the story we are always triumphant. No matter what it looks like to you right now, we always triumph in Christ. It would just look silly for us to be on the losing side and then tell people how wonderful our God is. He puts down inside of us an emergency bell and we can clang that bell any time we feel like we're in trouble. He's just good that way. no matter what is getting you down, no matter how big the problem seems, and no matter how many of them there are, REJOICE! rejoice because you KNOW that God loves you. Rejoice because he is just about to turn things around for you. Rejoice because there are things that man cannot do, BUT NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD. Rejoice because you are already triumphant in Christ. I've read the end of the book. YOU WIN. Rejoice in the Lord. Not in your circumstances, not in your friends, not in yourself, but rejoice the the one who made the heavens and the earth. Rejoice in the Alpha and the Omega. Rejoice in the almighty God. Keep looking up to hills from whence your help comes. Your help comes from the Lord! REJOICE IN THE LORD.....ALWAYS!
Be blessed and have a great day no matter what your circumstances. Turn on some praise music and start to dance. He'll turn your mourning into dancing again.
Praise Him !

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is a born again Rabbi who has studied biblical history intensively. He is active in getting the United Nations to recognize the Christians who are being killed in the middle east, and he is filled with the spirit of God.
4 blood moons is a scientific study that has strong biblical background. In 2014 there was a blood moon (lunar eclipse) on both the Feast of Tabernacles and on the Passover. So far in 2015 there has been a blood moon on Passover and one is expected again on the Feast of Tabernacles this fall. though there are lunar eclipses, they have rarely fallen on Jewish feast days, and when they have occurred simultaneously, there was a big shift for the Hebrew people.
As I said before, these experts can explain it so much better than I could. Check them out on Youtube.

Turn the other cheek? Not this time
Have you ever been physically pushed by someone? Maybe you were standing in line for a fun park ride, or to get in to a sporting event. Perhaps it was holiday shopping time and someone behind you lost that loving feeling. Whatever the situation was, you were physically jostled. What's your first reaction? For some of us, the first reaction is to move away, for others we stand firm. There are also those who push back. Well, there is a time for turning the other cheek.... and then there is a time to fight back. No, I'm not talking about extreme fighting or the boxing ring. I'm talking about a spiritual battle where the enemy of the children of Christ pushes and pushes and pushes. Lets say this is a tough time in your life. I've had them. I think we have all experienced tough times. You know, the kind when you've been praying, standing on the Word of God, confessing victory and waiting. You may have started out with one small issue, small, but it needs attention. Let's say your car needs repair. Ok, you're trying to decide which bill to delay so that you can fork out the hundreds of dollars that the mechanic will ask for, but you can manage it with a little fancy financial dancing. Just when you think you're on your way, your computer freezes and you were trying to complete a report. Now you're afraid you're going to lose some vital information and on top of that, you may run past the deadline for turning it in. You start calling friends and looking for solutions while fussing at yourself for not using your flash drive. It's just that you were sailing along and you thought this once you could finish and hit save. Well.....ooops. As you look for viable solutions you start to pray again harder than before. You're still standing on the word of God, but now you're looking up at Him trying to get His attention. You go to take a shower the next morning wondering whether or not you should call Uber or AAA, you are also thinking about how to explain the tardiness of the unfinished report. Suddenly a family member yells from your first floor that something is leaking into the kitchen. You turn off the shower and stand there half lathered with soap and shampoo. Now you look down instead of up, and shake your head, or your fist - whichever is your preference at the time.
You have been pushed. Each time you prayed before, you were stepping politely out of the way. The problem with that is the devil doesn't care about polite behavior. He takes it as a sign of weakness. Your weakness. This is not the time to turn the other cheek. This is the time to stand and fight. Okay, things have been happening to you that were at first inconvenient and then annoying, and finally just down right costly and you're about to lose your cool. This cost that has involved time, money, and now may even have a cost on your job or grade. It's time to push back. Our Scripture reminds us that we are in a war. The weapons of our warfare are NOT carnal, but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting out of imaginations and all the things that might rise up against almighty God. 2 Corinthians 10:4
Now is the time to rebuke the devil . Luke 10:19 says we have authority over ALL the power of the enemy. You can step on scorpions and snakes and they can't harm you. The bible uses the terms scorpion and snake to refer to Satan and his demons. Scripture says we have AUTHORITY. that is much more than just power. Authority means you're his boss. You are allowed to make him insignificant in your life. You've been promoted over him. In the spiritual realm, we are allowed to push back and push back hard. You only have to remember in whose name you have that power. You are now like Ironman, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawk all rolled up into one being, but only IN HIS NAME. Cast that thing out, lay hands on your home. BELIEVE in the name of
Jesus and in His wonder working power. Mark 16:17 In my name they will cast out devils .... Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, authorities, the prince of power of the air, against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places....
STAND UP and fight. You read scripture out loud. In the morning get up praising God. As you pray out loud believe, demand and declare that you, not the devil, have authority over your situation and over his annoyance of your life. Using spiritual warfare, go into the enemy's camp and take back what he took from you. A friend of mine taught me this saying and I think it's appropriate here. PUSH - (Pray Until Something Happens). Don't just stand there. PUSH BACK.
Ephesians 6:18 "Having done all, stand firm". Don't get weak. Don't allow your faith to falter. God will do the rest.

What Does God's Plan for Your Life Look Like?
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
God does have a plan for you. He has a plan for all of us. None of us are mistakes. He doesn't make mistakes. How can you tell what it is? Sometimes the plan is readily clear. As humans we tend to get in the way and try to do things our own way once we get a glimpse of an idea. Scripture clearly tells us to Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding of things. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." (Proverbs 3:5) It's just so hard to trust and try not to do something our own way. One really good biblical example of God's plan for a life is the life of Moses. He was born during a time when the Hebrew population was experiencing a rapid growth rate and this data was making the Egyptian Pharaoh uncomfortable. The Jewish people had come to Egypt under the leadership of Joseph, son of Jacob during the time of famine. At that time they were welcome and protected by Joseph. When Joseph died he prophesied that God would lead his people to the promised land. Some time later, a new king who had no knowledge of Joseph and no care or concern for the people of Jacob, decided that the people had to be contained and he would do that by enslaving the people and by having the new born male babies killed. Moses was born to a family who trusted God and the wheels were set in motion. His mother placed him in a water proof basket hidden among the reeds and his big sister kept watch over him until he was seen by a princess in the pharaoh's palace. She immediately took him and claimed him as her own. She told one of her maidservants to find a nanny for him, and the woman she found was his own mother. Now Moses would be safe and would be raised in a palace. He grew up as a brother and best friend to his "brother", the heir to the Egyptian throne. He discovered his heritage at about the age of 40 and he killed a guard who was beating a Hebrew man with a whip. He had to run away, and he ended up in the camp of a man named Jethro. He married one of Jethro's daughters and learned how to be the shepherd of many goats and sheep. It was 80 years after his birth that God called Moses to tell him the plan that he had designed for Moses.
Let's take a look at this life plan. Moses was born, hidden, grew up in a palace as a brother to the king, discovered his true roots, ran to the desert, got married and learned shepherding. Each step was designed to enable Moses to be the leader of the Exodus of God's people from Egypt. Who but Moses could approach the king and be so bold as to demand the release of the Pharaoh's slaves without being killed? The Pharaoh had grown up with Moses and loved him. He wouldn't kill him, and the respect he had learned for Moses moved him to hear Moses' words. Being a shepherd taught Moses all the qualities that he needed to be a great leader. He was now ready for the epic journey out of Egypt and into the promised land.
Moses had no knowledge whatsoever of God's plan for his life until God revealed it at age 80. Are you ever too old to begin your ministry? No. God knows just what He's doing and He has been working on your life plan undercover. Sometimes you don't know anything about it until your time has come to begin.
Jonah was another person in the bible. We all know the story of the whale, but let's look at God's plan. Jonah was a prophet. He knew the Lord and had been led of the Lord before. God called him to go to Ninevah and call the people to repentance. Jonah didn't want to do it. He had no love for Ninevites. They had been involved in the slaughter of many of his brethren and he wanted no part of offering them the chance to repent. He took a ship and tried to go in another direction other than the one God had directed. Long story short, he ended up going overboard and being swallowed by a whale. He repented and was given a second chance. He went to Ninevah and called the people to repentance. Did God have a plan? yes. Was it accomplished? yes. Are we able to thwart God's plan? No. He prepared Jonah and gave him a job that would help him grow spiritually and to learn about repentance and forgiveness. He also was instrumental in leading an entire people through repentance to God.
David is one of the most famous of the Hebrew Kings. He ran into many obstacles while he was growing up even after the prophet anointed him King. In the end, he did become king. In the process he learned leadership, trust in God, fearlessness, patience, compassion, and many other things that helped him to be a good and beloved king. God knew that King Saul would chase him down like a hunting dog, but God did not allow King Saul to harm him. strangely enough, David was the only person who could calm the demon within King Saul. Many people tried to thwart God's plan for a good and loyal king. None succeeded. Can others prevent God's plan from coming to pass? No. Did God have his way in making David King? Yes, and this was important in the lineage of Christ.
Joseph was a son of Jacob and was clearly one of his favorites. His brothers dug a pit and put him in it one day with the intention of leaving him there to die. Instead they sold him to slave traders. He was blamed for a crime he didn't commit and he was put into jail. He did end up as the second leader in the land of Egypt because of the gift God gave him to interpret dreams. God had a strange way of getting him there if we look at it through human eyes, but he was being trained and he was learning humility. He learned bookkeeping from his first boss. This helped him to feed many people during the famine. Many people tried to thwart God's plan, but God used their behaviors to Joseph's good. Did God have his way? Yes. Could other people thwart God's plan for Joseph and for his people Israel? no.
Just take a look at your life. I'm sure you'll start to see a pattern. There have been doors that have opened, and doors that were locked shut. you have experienced trials and victories. Have sick people always been brought to you in one way or another? Maybe you'll end up in the health field. Do people constantly tell you their troubles? Perhaps counseling in one form or another is in your future. Do you always happen to end up in certain types of circumstances? God is directing your path. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding of things. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.

DELIVERANCE IN THE 3 DIMENSIONS OF MAN
Scripture tells us that we were created in the image of God. It also tells us that God is a spirit and if we are to worship Him, we must worship Him in spirit and in truth- John 4:24. We can worship Him in spirit because we ourselves are spirits. In 1 Thessalonians 5:3 the apostle Paul says "May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." This helps us to understand that we are humans existing in 3 parts - body, soul and spirit.
In Hebrews 4:12-13 we read that the Word of God can separate even our soul and spirit and our bone and marrow. If our soul and spirit can be separated, they aren't the same thing. From these scriptures and many others we discern that we are a spirit, we live in a body and we possess a soul. We know that this is true because when we are about to do something that isn't right, our body reacts in a negative way. For example we get nervous ticks, we blush, we start to sweat, our hearts begin to beat quickly, or we move anxiously. Our mind may be leading us to think it's the way to go while even our body is rejecting the idea. Some people go by their own philosophy, you know...act now and ask forgiveness later..., but our spirit understands that what we are deciding to do, for example gossip, betray someone, lie, speak using foul words, "borrow" without asking is against the will of God. Our mind, or 'will' may become determined to do something while our bodies and spirit are against it. Once our mind is made up, our bodies often become the victim to our poor choices, like smoking for example.
Basically, we are spirits who live in bodies and possess a soul. Our spirit is what connects us with God. It lives on even when our body is gone as can be seen in scriptures. King Saul called up the prophet Samuel who had long since been dead (1 Samuel 28:3). His body had decayed, but Samuel's spirit lived on. Once, when Jesus asked his disciples to wait and pray with Him, He was seen talking with Moses and Elijah who had been dead for many centuries(Mathew 17: 1-9). Matthew 27:52 tells us that after Jesus' resurrection many of the holy ones who had died before came out into the city. It sounds like a science fiction movie, but it's in our scripture.
Faith is a critical part of prayer and deliverance. How often did Jesus note that faith was needed for healing and deliverance? He
Our faith comes from our spirit connecting with God the way a plug for a lamp connects into a wall socket. The lamp comes on when it receives power. Our spirit communes with God when it is plugged in to him. Our body is designed to allow us to exist on earth. Our mind helps us to understand and rule over the earth and the living creatures that God told us to rule over.
When we get hooked into anything other than God, we are not "plugged in" correctly. We get bad messages like a bad connection. Sometimes it leads to addictions. We can be addicted to almost anything. Addiction can resemble worship. We who are Christians only worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. If we become addicted to something other than God, we need to be able to get rid of that addiction. That brings me back to our original theme. In that we are living beings with 3 dimensions (spirit, body and soul), every part of us needs to be addressed. The word of God shows us how Jesus rebuked evil spirits and cast them out in order to set people free. Here he was dealing with spiritual beings and spiritual things. He often told people to go and sin no more when he was delivering or healing them from things that were creating problems. This is dealing with the habit that was developed with the mind and passed on to the body. We have to remember that when we deal with spiritual problems we need to also address the physical and the mental aspect of a human being.
In order to perform a successful deliverance from negative behavior we must:
1. deal with the spirit and the spiritual misfiring. Pray in Faith.
2.The habit of doing things that are bad for us and oppositional to God must be eliminated by practicing a new habit that will replace it with good things and positive results.
3.We must use faith and positive thinking to avoid the thoughts that lead to the negative habitual behaviors. ("Submit yourselves to God, then resist the devil and he will flee from you". James 4:7)
Once we have dealt with all three parts of a person, deliverance is successful. I do believe in spiritual deliverance and in fact have been witness to, and have been blessed to be instrumental in biblical deliverance. God CAN do anything. However, I am in no way saying that all medicine and medical practice is useless. I am by no means advocating that anyone should remove themselves or others from the care of a doctor. The disciple Luke was called the beloved physician (Colossians 4:14), so we know that Jesus believed that doctors have a great purpose. However, there are times when doctors are at a loss, or when behaviors like smoking, or lying, or other offensive behaviors aren't serious enough so that a doctor feels it is worth his or her time, that we go to our deliverance training given by God. Also, there have been times when people who are born again and filled with the spirit were asked to pray for others who were already in psychiatric care. After prayer, some of the patients were observed, tested and found to be ready to go out into society. (God healed them). Remember that there are some things that can only be cured by fasting and prayer. Matthew 17:15-20 and remember that we are 3 in one. Deal with all 3- spiritual influence, habits and thoughts, and finally behavior.
Always seek God and His wisdom for direction.

THY WORD IS A LAMP UNTO MY FEET AND A LIGHT UNTO MY PATH
Let’s start out by talking
about faith. Without faith it’s
impossible to please God. Jesus
constantly told people that they were healed because of their faith. So what does it feel like when you’re walking
in faith? How do you know you’re
standing in faith? How do we do
that? Well, let’s first talk about
things we have faith in even when we don’t realize it. The biggest thing that people do is to make
reservations and then walk onto a Boeing jet.
Those things are as heavy as a house and the laws of gravity say that it
shouldn’t go into the air. Yet, we get
on and don’t give a second, or third thought about it. We firmly place our faith in the pilot, the
jet, and the mechanics that get the thing running. If our parents tell us they’re coming to
visit, we just prepare for them. That’s
faith. It’s the substance of things
hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is powerful. It activates
miracles. Jesus is the power
source. Faith is the plug. A lamp has the ability to light up, but
without a power source, nothing happens.
Once a lamp is plugged into the socket-or power source, it
activates. You have to get plugged in so
that your lamp can be lit.
When you have faith in God you have
confidence. You will feel secure and
safe. A sure sign that you are walking
in faith is when someone becomes negative about a promise that God has given
you and you aren’t shaken and can easily say.
I’m trusting in God. My blessing
is here.
There will always be nay -sayers,
doubters, and negative Nellies, but you should never be one. Faith activates miracles. It gets the attention of Almighty God. “It is the substance of things hoped for and
the evidence of things not seen. “ How
do we get it? It comes from hearing the
Word of God. Get to know Him. Get faith.
Be empowered.

Faith or Fear? Choose faith and stand
GOD HAS NOT GIVEN US A SPIRIT OF FEAR, BUT ONE OF PEACE AND
OF POWER AND A SOUND MIND.” 1Timothy 1:7
As the fall of 2015 approaches we hear more and more
warnings about the coming catastrophes.
Whether they be weather related or financial, they warnings are
everywhere. We have heard about the 4
blood moons. Blood moons are lunar
eclipses. This event occurs when the
earth, sun and moon line up and the sun casts it’s rays on the moon in such a
way that it appears to be blood red. Apparently they are natural occurrences,
but only on rare occasions do they fall on Jewish feast days. In
2014 there was a lunar eclipse (blood moon) on the Jewish Passover Feast and
then in the fall season there was a lunar eclipse (blood moon) that fell on the
Feast of Tabernacles. In 2015 there was
a blood moon on the Jewish Passover Feast and now both Jewish and biblical
scholars are expecting a lunar eclipse – The bible calls them blood moons, this
fall either in September or October. The
reason that people are paying attention is because it’s been reported that
whenever there have been 4 blood moons in a row that fell on Jewish feast days,
something big happened. This is not to
say that big events don’t occur at other times, too, its just that when all
those things fall in line, big events occur especially those which have
involved our Jewish brothers and sisters.
“GOD HAS NOT GIVEN US A SPIRIT OF FEAR, BUT ONE OF PEACE AND
OF POWER AND A SOUND MIND.” 1 Timothy
1:7
The second reason that some biblical scholars are giving
warnings or telling us to watch and pray is the Shemitah. The Shemitah is the end of the 7 years that
the Lord gave as a time for renewal and release. Every 7th year the Lord God called the Hebrew children to
release servants, to allow the land to rest, and to release any and all debts
owed to them. This fall is the seventh
year and the seventh Shemitah. The 7th
of the 7th seasons. We are being told that there will be a release
and that God will cause it. As I read, I have learned what they are
alluding to. In 2001 there was a
financial collapse in our country that caused financial calamity in other
countries as well. Seven years later, in
2008 there was another financial catastrophe.
It also caused financial calamity in other countries. In fact financial trouble occurred around the
globe. Now in 2015, not only is the 4th
blood moon scheduled to occur , but also the Shemitah which also falls in
September-October. Therefore many who
have studied this event are warning us all to be careful, to spend wisely and save carefully. They are saying perhaps to store up dry goods
and water (which, by the way, is always a good idea).
I know that God is calling us to pay attention
“GOD HAS NOT GIVEN US A SPIRIT OF FEAR, BUT ONE OF PEACE,
AND OF POWER AND A SOUND MIND.” I
TIMOTHY 1:7
Remember that those who follow the Lord will walk under his
protection. He can bless us in abundance
even when everything else around us is going wrong.
I will talk a little
more about both the 4 blood moons and the Shemitah in the following study and
prayer sessions.
Jesus is Lord!
