Why is the blood of Christ necessary?
Adam and Eve were created and were placed in the garden. Eve was tempted and gave in to sin. Adam was tempted and gave in to sin. They learned that they were naked and they became uncomfortable being naked. When God called out to them they hid because they had learned shame. Long story short, he covered them with animals skin. The first blood had been shed to cover the sin of disobedience. History records the laws in Deutoronomy were given to allow for the sacrifice of animals so that their blood could be used in representation of blood covering sin. Blood represents life. So with sacrifice came a life for a life. As prophesied, Jesus came and shed his blood once and for all to cover sin. A life for our lives. The Son of God gave His life for our lives so that we who are eternal beings could live eternally with God. Thank you Lord. Amen.
