In a completely dark room a single flame gives light and displaces the darkness. In a room filled with light darkness cannot be found. Be a light in the darkness. Refuse to participate in gossip or negativity. Don't even listen to it. Light the way for others who want a way to remove themselves from the darkness. Be that candle.

Ever feel like a bowling pin in the middle of the lane?
**Ever feel like you're standing in the lane of a bowling alley? **
Sometimes you can't see trouble coming towards you, you don't know it's coming and it runs right up to your face so quickly that you can't blink.
Sometimes you know trouble is coming because you know that you set up the situations that would open the door for it to come. Well, if you see trouble coming and you don't get off that lane, or at least move out of it's way, trouble can knock you flat. Don't be like the poor bowling pin. It sits right in the middle of the lane and it doesn't move. It sees the bowling ball coming down the lane and it just stares at the ball. Sometimes the ball goes into the gutter and as the pin gives a sigh of relief, it's enemies groan because they wanted to see it fall down. The pin was so relieved to be spared that it relaxed. Another ball comes down the lane and the pin closes it's eyes and it gets smacked into the next lane. It's enemies cheer.
In life we can be like the little bowling pins in the bowling alley.....or not. See trouble coming? Don't close your eyes and stand there. Get out of the way.

The ditch
Have you ever felt as though you have fallen into a ditch in your life? You felt like you had to reach up in order to touch bottom? Well, there are 2 things about a ditch. #1. It can protect you from your enemies if you use it correctly. #2 A ditch has walls and an opening. You can both see and hear while you're sitting in a ditch. You're not separated from God. Maybe that ditch gives you a minute to stop and think, to stop and pray, and to begin to offer praise. You can use the walls to get out of the ditch, carve notches and use them to climb out. You're not trapped. Remember, Joseph was thrown into a ditch, but he ended up the second most important man in the land. He had time to climb out of the "ditch" of life and he saved his people and millions of others from a famine.
Consider your "ditch". Whether you were thrown in, or you fell in you WILL get out of it. What did you learn? How will you use what you learned? How can you help others benefit from your lessons in the "ditch"? Instead of making you depressed or desperate, the "ditch" could create a change of direction that will be an exciting new beginning in your life.

The Early Exit
**The early exit**
I have noticed that at a few drive through eateries like (McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Wendy's, etc.) there is an exit available for those who aren't going to go all the way through to the completion of the process. I thought about how the entire thing was set up. There is a path to follow, a place to make requests, a place to do your part (payment ) and a place at the end to receive. You can only receive what you request if you stay on the path and follow the instructions for it. If you take the early exit, you can't get what you desire. You might not even get to make the request.
It reminded me of our relationship with God. He lays out a path, gives us instructions, there are times in our day when we can talk to Him (making our requests), of course we know to do our part, (cooperating with his will) and if we follow that path through to the end, we receive our blessing.
How often do we take the early exit and then complain that we didn't receive an answer, or get our blessing? God has a plan for each of our lives. His love for us is unwavering. All we have to do is get on the path follow His instructions, and stay on it to the end. Our blessing will be ready for us to receive it- if we Don't take the early exit.

Forgiveness is...
There is a blessing in forgiving.
There is peace in forgiving.
There is joy in forgiving.
There is release in forgiving.
There is salvation in forgiving.
There is redemption in forgiving.
There is the shadow of a cross that was raised up from the ground now rising in our hearts to bring us closer to God.
Forgive others , do it quickly, as Christ has already forgiven you, so that we may all stand with our heads raised high when the enemy comes to get us, thinking that he will defeat us, only to find that because of forgiveness we have already won. Your doubts and fears are a defeated foe. They can not stop you. Your past is a defeated foe. It can not bring you down. You are forgiven by the only ONE who can forgive completely and erase forever your fears. Forgiveness is the period at the end of the sentence. Amen.

The bus
If you're riding on the bus called truth and the driver is the Lord Jesus Christ, don't get off at the corner.
