Hallowed be thy name

“Who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name…”
In today’s English, what Jesus said was, Let me make it perfectly clear children, I mean your heavenly father AKA God.  His name is to be revered.  Do we really understand what holy is deep in our souls?  No, I don’t mean the definitions that dictionaries give us, I mean, the kind of Holy that Moses knew about.  A name so holy that people didn’t dare speak it.  He’s holy in a way that we can’t understand because we live in a world that’s not holy at all.  If you were talking to your earthly father, would you use his name with expletives?  I wouldn’t. #1 I love my dad way too much.  # 2 I AINT CRAZY.  If we honor the names of world leaders, how much more should we honor the name of our God? Our heavenly Father lives in a holy heavenly place.  His name is to be respected, revered, and treasured.  Why? A name is everything.  It defines who you are.  “A good name is worth more than gold.” Proverbs 22:1.  A name can open doors and bring blessings to you, your family members and even your friends.  People like to be “name droppers”, if yours is a good name.  God has a good name. It is to be honored. He even told us to ask for things “In His name”.  His name is holy and it is filled with power.  Use it carefully and respectfully and reverently
